Cam Griffiths is a Scottish multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, sound designer and sound recordist. He lives in south London, with bases in Margate, England and Warsaw, Poland.

Growing up on the Isle of Thanet, Cam first learnt the piano from his dad, before gaining classical training and teaching himself many other instruments in his teenage years. He gained a First Class Honours degree in Music from Brunel University, winning an award for the best graduating musician, completing an entirely self-produced album. Following some time working as a freelance composer (and selling antiques in Ramsgate), he won bursaries to study on the MA Filmmaking course at Goldsmiths, University of London. He specialised in sound for his graduation film ‘The Original’, which subsequently gained critical acclaim at international film festivals.

Highly skilled across many instruments* with the advantage of perfect pitch, he creates music for screen, stage, radio, and art installation; carefully composing, performing, and producing every aspect of the score, to create work that is characterful and unique. He performs live either with his own work, or as a session player for a wide range of artists.

His work for film has been exhibited at international festivals, the BFI, and featured on RTÉ, the BBC, and Sky Arts.

Cam works regularly with artists, providing sound for works that have been displayed at prestigious art galleries, such as Hauser and Wirth, Whitechapel Gallery, GaMeC Bergamo, and ESEA Contemporary.

More details about the work and services he offers can be found on the ‘contact’ page.
